Walmart, the nation's largest private employer, announced sweeping rollbacks to its DEI programs. The company ended racial equity training, stopped participating in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, and will no longer consider race or gender when granting supplier contracts. Walmart also ended its five-year, $100 million Center for Racial Equity established after George Floyd's murder. The company said it would monitor its third-party marketplace to remove items like chest binders marketed to minors.
