Target announced it would end its Racial Equity Action and Change (REACH) initiative, discontinue three-year DEI goals, stop participating in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, and rebrand its "Supplier Diversity" team to "Supplier Engagement." Target had previously committed to spending $2 billion with Black-owned businesses by 2025 following George Floyd's murder in Minneapolis, near its headquarters.
