Global Crossing Airlines (GlobalX) operates over half of all ICE deportation flights, including controversial flights to El Salvador's CECOT mega-prison. The Miami-based charter carrier signed a five-year contract expecting $65 million in annual revenue. In March 2025, GlobalX flew 238 Venezuelans to El Salvador despite a federal court order blocking the deportations. Flight attendants told ProPublica they had concerns about passenger safety and were not given instructions about how to evacuate restrained deportees in emergencies.
