Lowe's scales back DEI programs, ends Pride event sponsorships

Home improvement retailer Lowe's announced in an internal memo it would scale back DEI programs, citing the Supreme Court's 2023 ruling against affirmative action. The company said it would no longer participate in the Human Rights Campaign's workplace inclusion survey, would consolidate employee resource groups into one umbrella organization, and would stop sponsoring community events including Pride parades and festivals. Lowe's had previously earned a perfect score on HRC's Corporate Equality Index.
