Covington & Burling refuses to drop Jack Smith

Covington & Burling became the first law firm targeted by President Trump when he signed a memorandum suspending security clearances for partner Peter Koski and all employees who assisted former Special Counsel Jack Smith. The order also directed agencies to terminate contracts with the firm. Rather than drop Smith as a client, Covington affirmed it would continue to represent him despite the pressure.
