Brown-Forman Corporation, maker of Jack Daniel's whiskey, announced it would end several DEI programs, citing a shifting "legal and external landscape." The company said it would stop linking executive compensation to DEI progress—previously 10% of short-term pay was tied to diversity goals—end workforce and supplier diversity targets, stop participating in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, and review training programs. Brown-Forman had launched its DEI strategy in 2019 and previously earned a perfect HRC score.
