Harley-Davidson ends DEI programs after online pressure campaign

Sunday, August 18, 2024

Harley-Davidson announced it would end diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, stating it had "not operated a DEI function since April 2024." The motorcycle manufacturer said it no longer has hiring quotas or supplier diversity spending goals—which had previously accounted for over $265 million in diverse supplier spending. The company also ended participation in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index and said employee training would be "absent of socially motivated content."
