Skadden strikes preemptive $100 million deal with Trump

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom reached a deal with the Trump administration to provide $100 million in pro bono legal services and end DEI practices. The deal came five days after Elon Musk publicly criticized the firm's litigation against conservative commentator Dinesh D'Souza. The firm subsequently canceled all affinity group events and removed DEI content from its website. Some associates resigned in protest.
