Five major law firms pledge $600 million combined in Trump deals

Five major law firms reached settlement agreements with the Trump administration, pledging a combined $600 million in pro bono legal services. Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins, A&O Shearman, and Simpson Thacher each committed $125 million; Cadwalader committed $100 million. All agreed to end DEI hiring initiatives. The EEOC dropped investigations into some of the firms' diversity practices.
